I was wondering the same thing as Shahrzad. Is there a reason that the study only used adolescent boys? Did researchers assume that the male brain would react differently than the female brain? Has any research been done on the brain activity of girls with ADHD?
I was confused by the statement, "the boys were told to keep playing the game because the game would change at some point." Were they told that the game would go back to having a monetary reward, or that the actual content of the game would change? How would either motivate them to keep playing?
Why was this study done with boys and not girls, or both?
